Mr Peter Brown, President -VIC

peter.JPG Mr. Brown is Executive Director of the Fifteen Foundation (Australia), celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s non-profit organisation that supports and educates disadvantaged and marginalised young people. A Lecturer in Park and Wildlife Management at Deakin University for almost 17 years, he was General Manager of the Lort Smith Animal Hospital and inaugural CEO of the People and Parks Foundation, and board member of a number of non-profits.

Dr Ted Donelan, Senior Vice President-VIC

banjo-ted-rsz.jpg Dr Donelan is a veterinarian based in Melbourne, where he has been running his own private practices for more than 30 years. He has a similarly long history of involvement in animal welfare and animal management policy planning and implementation at local, state and national levels. He was a founding board member of the Delta Society in Australia. Five years ago he established and has since maintained a dog health program at Maningrida in Arnhem Land (Maningrida is the second-largest Indigenous community in Australia).

Dr Stephen Cutter-NT

steven-n.jpg Dr Cutter is a veterinarian with three private veterinary practices in and around Darwin. He is committed to delivering dog health programs with the very best standards of animal welfare, and he and other veterinarians in his practices have conducted three-monthly dog health programs in the Tiwi Islands and in other Northern Territory communities for 10 years.

Mr Geoff Irwin-QLD

 
 Geoff Irwin started working in Local Government 1977 and since the 1994 amalgamation of two large Councils (Albert and Gold Coast City) has been involved in animal management issues. Geoff was until recently vice president of AIAM and a committee member of the former UAM group and AVACCAC. Geoff works closely with Councils in South East QLd and Northern NSW as a regular member and chair of relevant committees. As well as a Graduate certificate in Public Sector Management from Flinders University he has a range of practical qualifications in animal management. Geoff was born in Cunnamulla Qld and is proud of his aboriginality.

Mr Clayton Abreu-QLD

clayton-contact.jpg Mr Clayton Abreu, is the Indigenous Environmental Health Program Officer (IEHPO) working for Tropical Population Health Service Qld Health Department. Working in the field of Indigenous Environmental Health for the past 8 years. He is committed to improving Environmental Health conditions in Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities through sustainable Environmental Health programs which include Animal Management.

Marguerite Young- Secretary-NSW

marguerite.JPG Marguerite is the Companion Animal Manager for the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW). She also works as a consultant to AusAID conducting NGO accreditations and has a long history in community development. She has been involved with AMRRIC for several years and co-edited the comprehensive AMRRIC Manual: Conducting Dog Health Programs in Indigenous Communities: A Veterinary Guide.

Dr Peter Stephenson- Treasurer-NT

peter-stevenson_pic.JPGPeter Stephenson is an experienced environmental health practitioner and tertiary educator with research and professional interests at the intersection of environmental health policy and practice: Indigenous communities' capacity building; professional education and curriculum development. Peter is currently Head of Research at the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education in the Northern Territory.

Dr Ann-Margret Withers-NSW

ann-margret.JPG Dr Ann-Margret Withers is a veterinarian for RSPCA NSW, living in Sydney. She has been involved in delivering dog health programs in far western NSW with FWAHS/GWAHS for the past five years, as well as being involved in similar programs overseas. She is very interested in the link between animal and human health and welfare.
