Queensland Health and AMRRIC conducted a workshop ‘Provision of sustainable veterinary Services in rural and remote Indigenous communities’ to increase the pool of veterinary service providers interested in working in rural and remote Indigenous communities throughout Queensland, to establish a data base of potential veterinary service providers within Queensland, To increase the capacity of the veterinary service providers who intend to work in Indigenous settings, establish a model for voluntary veterinary accreditation in rural and remote Indigenous settings and establish a formal independent mechanism for evaluation of animal health programs
