AMRRIC Webinar: Healthy Animals, Healthy Communities – What Does AMRRIC Do?

Early on in 2020, the AMRRIC board of Directors were looking forward to hosting a stakeholder events in Sydney at the National Centre for Indigenous Excellence.  Working with long-time advisor and AMRRIC supporter Phil Pogson from The Leading Partnership consultancy, the concept was to create an opportunity to introduce AMRRIC and its work to new audiences, as well as continuing to offer our existing stakeholders a chance to network and connect with the board, staff and members of AMRRIC.

As the COVID-19 pandemic worsened, it became increasingly apparent that a physical event for 100+ people was no longer possible. This created an opportunity for AMRRIC to host the event in a new format, choosing to host the event as a “get to know us” webinar.  AMRRIC worked busily during the lockdown stage to convert its physical stakeholder event into an online format.

On July 7, AMRRIC held its first of these events, entitled ‘Healthy Animals, Healthy Communities – What Does AMRRIC Do?’.  The event was MC’d by CEO Dr. Brooke Rankmore and included presentations by AMRRIC Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Group member Ms Christine Ross and AMRRIC Program Manager- Strategic Delivery Dr Bonny Cumming. You can read more about our speakers and their talking points on the webinar registration page here.  The event was a great success, with registrations exceeding our expectation, and much positive feedback received.

We are pleased to share a recording of the 30 minute event which can be viewed below.
