You Feel, They Feel, We Feel – an Exciting New Animation for Empathy Education

AMRRIC’s education program, Dog Mob Cat Crew, released their newest education animation in June 2023. This latest resource focuses on teaching empathy to children.

Teaching children empathy through animals and animation, June 2023

“You Feel, They Feel, We Feel” teaches and demonstrates empathy towards animals for young children through the showing of a sweet and simple story about a boy and his dog. Companion animals play a significant role in the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of people in communities, including children. Empathy is an important part of a child’s development and empathy towards animals is great example by which children can learn about empathy and how to look after themselves and their loved ones, including their pets.

Culturally relevant animations, created for students in remote communities, allow children to connect more with the story being told and make for a highly effective learning resource. Additionally, animation education resources are highly accessible to people in communities nationwide, making it an even more valuable and useful resource.

We are grateful to the amazing work of Aboriginal-led creative studio, Nani Creative, that brought this story to life in a such a beautiful and effective way. As always, AMRRIC are thankful to our supporters and the Australian Government which also make our work possible.
