AMRRIC offers nationally recognised training designed specifically for remote Indigenous community contexts.

Delivered in partnership with Ninti Training Ltd (RTO 70018), an Indigenous-owned Registered Training Organisation, these programs provide formal recognition while remaining practical and relevant.

Available Skill Sets

ACMSS00031: Promote Animal Health in Remote Communities

Recommended for:

  • Animal Management Workers
  • Environmental Health Workers
  • Indigenous Rangers
  • Aboriginal Health Workers
  • Local Government staff involved in animal management program delivery

This training enables participants to:

  • Conduct animal population censuses
  • Administer anti-parasitic treatments
  • Support veterinary activities
  • Educate community members on animal–human health links

Units include:

  • ASCMBEH301 – Identify behaviours and interact safely with animals
  • ACMINF304- Promote environmental health and safety for companion animals in remote communities
  • ACMARM301- Support veterinary activities in remote communities
  • HLTPOP032 – Monitor and maintain dog health in the community

Delivery:

  • Combination of classroom learning and practical, on-ground experience.

 

ACMSS00034: Animal Management Coordination in Remote Communities

Recommended for:

  • Program managers and coordinators
  • Local Government staff
  • Public Health Unit teams

This training enables participants to:

  • Plan and monitor animal management activities
  • Develop and implement community-based programs
  • Strengthen program sustainability

Units include:

  • HLTPOP032 – Monitor and maintain dog health in the community
  • ACMARM409 – Plan and monitor remote community animal management activities
  • ACMARM410 – Develop and implement animal management initiatives

Delivery:

  • Flexible, self-paced online learning.

  • No formal entry requirements
  • Pre-training review to assess suitability and support needs
  • Training strategies that support varying literacy and numeracy levels, including reasonable adjustment for assessments
